Depart Arusha after breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park, well known for its large elephant populations and iconic baobab landscapes.
Enjoy a full-day game drive with picnic lunch inside the park. In the late afternoon, proceed to a nearby public campsite for dinner and overnight.
Overnight: Tarangire Area Campsite
Meals: Lunch & Dinner
After breakfast, drive toward Lake Eyasi, located southwest of Ngorongoro.
Arrive in the afternoon and relax at the campsite near the lake shore. The environment here is peaceful and less touristic, offering beautiful sunset views over the Rift Valley landscape.
Overnight: Lake Eyasi Campsite
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Early morning visit to the Hadzabe community, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer groups in East Africa. You may observe traditional hunting techniques and learn about their way of life.
Later, visit the Datoga community, known for blacksmithing and pastoral traditions.
In my opinion, this day adds deep human context to the safari. Wildlife is incredible, but understanding local cultures creates a richer travel experience.
Return to camp for lunch, then proceed toward the Ngorongoro highlands for overnight at a campsite.
Overnight: Ngorongoro Area Campsite
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
After breakfast, travel through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route to Serengeti National Park.
Enjoy wildlife viewing along the way as you descend into the Serengeti plains. Afternoon game drive before reaching your campsite.
Overnight: Serengeti Public Campsite
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Spend a full day exploring Serengeti’s vast savannahs with morning and afternoon game drives. Search for lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, and, depending on season, migration herds.
Camping inside Serengeti provides a true wilderness atmosphere.
Overnight: Serengeti Public Campsite
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Morning game drive in Serengeti before departing toward the highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Arrive at the crater rim campsite in the late afternoon. Temperatures are cooler due to altitude.
Overnight: Simba Campsite (Ngorongoro Rim)
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Early descent into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater offers one of the highest wildlife densities in Africa, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, flamingos, and often black rhinos.
After picnic lunch, ascend and drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch
